Proud Accomplishments!

The Children of the Mon Repos After School Community Program are proud of their accomplishments.  They want to share what they have done with you.  As we move forward, every child in the program will have an opportunity to show off an accomplishment.  We have story-tellers and poets, artists and craft people who accomplish many other things to share.

Little Kate is Sick
by Tyra Wilson

One bright morning Kate had a headache, a fever, a belly ache, a sore throat and she had the chicken pox!

Her brothers and sisters told her to come and play, but she wouldn't.  Little Kate sat in a little corner and cried.  Her mother was so sad so she took her to the doctor.

The next morning when she arrived at the doctor she had to wait for her turn.  When it was her turn, the doctor gave her a packet of pals to drink and get better.

Her mother was so happy when she was better.  Now she can play with her brothers and sisters.

The end.

The Accident

by Zhane Joseph

BOOM!  BAM!  BANG!  A school bus carrying fourteen Campus A and B students crashed with a Suzuki Jeep yesterday morning.  The bus was coming from Ti Roche and was heading to Vieux Fort.  The Jeep was on the main road to Vieux Fort.  The bus turned on its side and the front of the Jeep was damaged.  Some of the students were rushed to St. Jude's Hospital and some to Victoria Hospital.  The drivers were rused to Saint Jude's Hospital.

Zhane explained he wrote this story after hearing it on the news.  We might just have a budding Journalist amongst our youth in Mon Repos!
