About the Program

Save a Mind . . . Save a Child!

The Mon Repos After School Program is part of a Pilot Program established late 2008.  The program is sponsored by the Organization of American States (OAS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Transformation.

The purpose of the program is to give children a safe environment where they can learn and play under supervised care four days per week.  There are four parts to the program: Creative Arts, Sports, Life Skills and IT. In addition, children receive Academic Support in small group settings once per week.

The program has forty students, ages eight to eleven from four schools in the Mon Repos area.
